fair cut
Grainy monochrome image of a man with almost no hair. Plain background. Black broken border.
I went for a haircut the other day. It’s the second time I’ve been to this barber. When he asked how I’d like my hair cut I said I’d had a #3 (clipper setting) last time and this time I’d like a #1. He got to work but I soon noticed that he was concentrating on only the back and sides. I reassured him that I wanted a very short cut all over.
’Ah, skin?’ he exclaimed.
‘Yes, that’s right,’ I replied.
He resumed, roughly shaving over the dome of my pate, but as he worked his wife who had taken my ¥1,500 at the start of the sitting slipped ¥100 into my hand.
Bone heads qualify for a discount. We laughed.
